From November 3rd to 12th, a group of aspiring filmmakers and producers were given the opportunity to participate in an intensive Producing Feature Film Development Workshop, led by renowned American producer Dina Emam and esteemed Egyptian producer Muhammad Taymour.

The workshop was specifically designed for those with a feature-length fiction film project in development, complete with a finished script. The ultimate goal was to equip these talented individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to create a comprehensive Master Production File (MPF) for their respective projects.
The MPF serves as a thorough and well-structured plan that outlines every aspect of the filmmaking process, including creative and logistical elements, financial strategies, marketing tactics, sales projections, and distribution plans. By having such a detailed document, filmmakers can confidently approach potential investors and secure the necessary funds to bring their vision to life.
To ensure a productive and immersive experience, the workshop’s schedule was meticulously planned. Participants started each day with breakfast at 9 am, followed by engaging group sessions with Dina and Taymour from 10 am to 3 pm. These sessions covered a range of topics, including introductions, producing overviews, marketing insights, compelling loglines, concise synopses, effective sales strategies, efficient distribution methods, essential foundation documents, detailed breakdowns, scheduling, calendaring, budgeting, financing options, polished pitch decks, and comprehensive film files.
After a short break for lunch from 3 pm to 4 pm, participants dedicated time to working on assigned tasks and meeting one-on-one with the instructors to discuss their progress and receive valuable feedback. The day concluded with a shared dinner from 8 pm to 9 pm, providing an opportunity for the group to reflect on their accomplishments and share experiences before returning to their accommodations.
Throughout the ten days, the participants were fully engaged in an intense and transformative journey, learning the intricacies of producing a successful feature-length film. With the knowledge and tools gained from the workshop, they left empowered to pursue their dreams and bring their unique stories to audiences worldwide.
